The GMO Panel assessed maize MON 95275 (EFSA, 2024a). The maize expresses two insecticidal proteins Mpp75Aa1 and Vpb4Da2 as well as a DvSnf7 dsRNA, all of which are active against corn rootworm. EFSA assessed Mpp75Aa1 and Vpb4Da2 for the first time; DvSnf7 dsRNA is very similar to the sequence expressed in the genetically engineered maize event MON87411. The applicant states that MON 95275 will not be commercialised as a single event and only used to develop stacked events.
