Soybean DBN9004 contains genes conferring resistance to two groups of herbicides:

• glyphosate (EPSPS protein), and
• glufosinate ammonium (PAT protein).

In its opinion, EFSA comes to the conclusion that “soybean DBN9004 is as safe as the conventional counterpart and non-GM soybean varieties tested” (EFSA, 2025a).
