What are the consequences of genetic engineering for humans and the environment? From a critical point of view, Testbiotech provides information and scientific expertise on the risks associated with these technologies.
Testbiotech is as an independent institute for impact assessment in the field of biotechnology. Our work is strictly based on science. We evaluate the available information from the perspective of the protection of health, the environment and nature.
Testbiotech is free from any interest in the development, application and commercialization of genetically modified organisms and products derived from. Our work is financed by private donations, foundation grants and public funding.
Testbiotech is a registered non-profit organisation and is registered in the EU Transparency Register. Our annual reports as well as our institutional donors are found on our website.
Testbiotech was founded in 2008. Our statutes (available only in German) can be downloaded below.
